Job summary

Hicks Automotive Group is seeking a hands-on professional to oversee repair orders and the recon process, ensuring a top-tier customer experience in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

You will coordinate technicians, manage inventory and parts, handle owner inquiries, and collaborate with Service and Sales teams to maintain high customer satisfaction and smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal repair orders and reconciliation processes.
• Take ownership of reconditioning to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide concierge support for owner inquiries and maintain service quality.
• Ensure daily technician time is billed to service customers.
• Distribute work efficiently among technicians.
• Answer technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs.
• Maintain recon spreadsheet and lead daily service/sales meetings.
• Track parts and tools; manage sublets and PO process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal repair orders, complete the recon process in a timely manner as set forth by management.
• Take ownership of the reconditioning experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer.
• Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled.
• Ensure the daily inventory of technicians' time is consistently sold to service customers.
• Distribute work between technicians efficiently.
• Answer technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs.
• Maintain the recon spreed sheet and conduct a daily meeting with Service and Sales management.
• Keep track of ordered parts and tools as necessary.
• Oversee sublets to vendors. Ensureinvoices are correct and attached to the repair order via Purchase Order process.
• Dispatch details to carwash/detailer.
• Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
• Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain good working relationship with factory(s) and foster positive employee relations.
