Job summary

Cavalier Ford At Chesapeake Square in Chesapeake, VA is seeking experienced express lane technicians to join our team. We offer a clean, temperature-controlled shop and a supportive culture focused on training, advancement, and quality service.

You will perform repairs, run tests with diagnostic tools, and collaborate with the Service Advisor to inform customers about additional work and timelines. ASE certification is a plus, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Team-oriented with ability to work in a collaborative shop.
• Clean and valid driver's license; ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor regarding additional work and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment

Qualifications

• ASE certification is a plus

• Must have a clean & valid driver's license
