Job summary

Mission Staffing is seeking an experienced Recertification / Lease Renewal Specialist to join an established affordable housing property management organization in Manhattan. The role focuses on managing annual and interim recertifications, processing lease renewals, and maintaining resident documentation to ensure compliance with affordable housing rules.

Responsibilities include reviewing tenant income and eligibility, preparing HUD Form 50059, and coordinating with management and compliance

Qualifications

• Experience handling recertifications for affordable housing.
• Experience with lease renewals and renewal processing.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, HUD and HPD requirements.
• Experience verifying tenant income and eligibility.
• Familiarity with Form 50059
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual and interim recertifications and lease renewals.
• Review and verify tenant income, assets, eligibility, and documentation.
• Prepare and process HUD Form 50059 recertifications.
• Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, HPD, and supportive housing rules.
• Maintain accurate resident files and deadlines.
• Communicate with residents to collect missing docs and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with property management and compliance teams to ensure timely processing.
