This role involves managing front desk operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and supporting product store activities. The Role
As a key ambassador of Plexus, the Receptionist & Store Support plays a central role in shaping the first impression and day-to-day experience of every guest, ambassador, and employee entering our corporate headquarters. This individual ensures our front lobby and store operations run seamlessly with professionalism, precision, and a customer-centric mindset. You will represent the brand, support cross-functional departments, and contribute to a high-functioning workplace environment through reliable communication, organization, and service.
Key Performance Objectives
Exceptional Guest Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for all visitors to Plexus headquarters, greeting and directing guests with a welcoming and professional demeanor that aligns with the company’s core values.
Ensure proper guest check-in, badge distribution, and lobby safety protocols are followed.
Offer excellent customer service and support during guest visits, company tours, or ambassador events.
Reception Operations Excellence
Administer all incoming calls and communication at the front desk, maintaining a polished and organized reception area at all times.
Triage calls and in-person inquiries effectively and route to the appropriate department or contact.
Maintain up-to-date logs and systems to ensure all front-desk activities are accurately tracked and executed.
Product Store Support
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Plexus Product Store located in the visitor lobby.
Open and close the store responsibly, including securing the space per facility protocols.
Assist with product transactions, inventory restocking, and store organization.
Collaborate with staff to support employee product fulfillment processes.
Facilities & Administrative Coordination
Ensure high-functioning support across facilities, supplies, and team needs.
Maintain and replenish breakroom and office supplies weekly.
Sort and distribute incoming mail across all Plexus locations.
Assist with administrative duties such as creating draw tickets, WiFi password distribution, and cross-functional coverage.
Reliability and Flexibility
Adapt to evolving operational needs and support the facilities team by providing coverage during absences, off-hours, or special events.
Demonstrate flexibility with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts as needed.
Cross-train with facilities team to maintain continuous coverage and service excellence.
Performance Qualifications
Educational Credentials
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or relevant coursework in administration, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
Proven Experience
2+ years in a receptionist, front desk, office coordination, or customer-facing role.
Experience in retail operations or store assistant functions a plus.
Core Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional presence and demeanor.
Organizational excellence and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Tech-savvy with ability to manage phone systems, visitor logs, internal communication platforms, and email.
Preferred Technical & Operational Knowledge
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Understanding of office safety and guest management protocols.
Familiarity with visitor management systems and light inventory processes.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments.
Builds positive relationships with staff, ambassadors, and external partners.
Demonstrates accountability and initiative in all areas of responsibility.
