Chestnut Park Rehabilitation and Nursing, located in Oneonta, NY, is seeking a Receptionist!

Position Details
  • Position Type: Per Diem (as needed)
  • Pay Rate: $15.50+ per hour
Responsibilities
  1. Greeting and Assisting Visitors: Welcoming visitors, residents, and family members with a friendly attitude. Providing information about services, visiting hours, and policies.
  2. Answering Phones and Managing Inquiries: Handling calls, taking messages, and directing calls appropriately.
  3. Check-in and Check-out Procedures: Managing visitor sign-in/out processes.
  4. Mail and Package Handling: Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and packages.
  5. Emergency Response: Handling emergencies and notifying staff or emergency services.
  6. Coordinating with Staff and Residents: Communicating effectively with staff and residents.
  7. Maintaining Reception Area: Keeping the area clean and organized.
  8. Crisis Management: Handling difficult visitors professionally and empathetically.
  9. Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
  10. Training and Orientation: Assisting with onboarding of new staff and volunteers.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in hospitality, healthcare, or service delivery preferred.
  • Customer service/hospitality background preferred.
  • Strong Communication Skills Required.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
