Job description

Job Title: Remote Medical Receptionist

A reputable mental health clinic is seeking to hire a remote medical receptionist. This is an indefinite, temporary position with no scheduled end date. The main responsibilities include:

  1. Responding to inquiries via phone, email, and text regarding receiving care.
  2. Answering potential and existing clients' questions about their care.
  3. Sending electronic intake forms from our EHR system, therapy notes.
  4. Processing intake documents.
  5. Verifying that medical insurance is active.
  6. Assigning clients to therapists.
  7. Reviewing therapist caseloads to identify openings for new clients.
  8. Closing cases in the system to accommodate new clients.
  9. Updating spreadsheets to organize workflow.
  10. Performing additional duties as requested, based on your training and background, or as provided through further training.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • High school diploma or degree in Psychology.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills, with a willingness to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to understand insurance coverage details such as deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.
