Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a Receptionist - Patient Information at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. This per diem role offers flexible shifts and focuses on delivering friendly, accurate information to visitors, patients, and staff.

You'll handle phone calls, direct guests to testing sites, and support the patient information desk with professionalism and courtesy in a fast-paced hospital environment. Per diems enjoy competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school required.
• Basic computers skills in using GroupWise and cash register.
• Over three months experience required.
• Duties include but are not limited to answering the phones, directing and or escorting patients to respective testing sites, adhering to dress code policy, creating visitation badges for visitors entering the facility.
• Must have computer knowledge (Outlook, Kronos and Epic a plus).
• Excellent customer service skills as well as team player attitude.
• Able to compose yourself during emergency situations such as calling a code if need be.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager, Volunteer Services, perform diversified duties in the support of the patient information desk at Tobey Hospital by providing information and customer service to visitors, staff, patients, vendors, etc of the hospital information desk.
