A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Full-Time Receptionist to join their team in Dubuque, Iowa. The role includes customer service, scheduling, and insurance management, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and some experience in a similar role, showcasing strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
Pay and Benefits: $17+/hr. with a full benefits package including:
Primary Schedule: Rotating shifts Monday - Friday between 6:45 am and 5:00 pm, working 5 days/40 hours per week. Full benefits eligible!
Demonstrate effective customer service skills by greeting customers politely, promptly, and helpfully, providing necessary instructions or directions. Check in patients for appointments, review and update patient information, and make account changes to ensure correct billing.
Set up new insurance coverage or modify existing records as needed. Collect copays or other payments and perform accurate end-of-day balancing.
Schedule appointments within our clinics or from work queues, applying department/provider scheduling protocols and directing patients to appropriate providers or specialties.
Provide verbal and/or written instructions to patients, peers, and clinical team members, interacting tactfully and establishing effective relationships.
Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 3 months to 1 year of similar or related experience.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential. Work involves personal contact inside and/or outside the organization, often regarding routine matters requiring discussion.
Other Skills: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, proficient computer skills including keyboarding, experience with multi-line phones, cash handling, and ability to work independently, problem-solve, and be resourceful.
