Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a courteous Receptionist to join our patient-centered team. You will greet visitors, answer calls, schedule appointments, register patients, and help maintain compliant records in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

This full-time role offers no weekends or holidays, day shifts, and opportunities to grow within Freeman Health System. You will work to ensure a safe, welcoming environment and accurate patient information flow across departments.

Qualifications

• Greet customers, patients, vendors, and visitors at the facility.
• Answer patient questions and provide directions when necessary.
• Register patients and ensure documentation complies with HIPAA and regulations.
• Collect payments and print receipts.
• Count and balance cash drawer.
• Use medical office software to schedule appointments.
• Verify eligibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• The Receptionist is responsible for delivering a positive patient experience throughout Freeman Health System to, include, but not limited to, scheduling patient appointments, answering phone calls, updating patient registrations, providing general information with respectful, effective communication, and other activities aimed to create a safe and positive environment.

Requirements

• Greet all customers, patients, vendors, and other visitors to the facility.
• Answer patient questions and aid and directions when necessary.
• Register patients and ensure documentation and forms are compliant with state and federal regulatory activities, including but not limited to HIPAA, and all applicable regulations.
• Collect payments and print receipts for patients.
• Count and balance cash drawer.
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
• Verify eligibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
