Job summary

MEININGER Hotels is seeking a receptionist for its Brussels City Center property. The role focuses on welcoming guests, managing check-in/check-out, and acting as the first contact for visitors, suppliers, and technicians.

You will answer inquiries, share local tips, and handle basic admin tasks like invoicing and emails. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of receptionist experience, a friendly, outgoing personality, and strong English and French language skills.

Qualifications

• One year of receptionist experience or more.
• Outgoing personality and ability to handle a busy, dynamic environment.
• You are a people person who enjoys helping guests and creating memorable experiences.
• You are a team player ready to assist colleagues and other departments.
• Knowledge of front office systems (e.g. ASSD, Fidelio, SIHOT).
• Fluent in English and French (B1-B2 level).
• Available to work weekends, public holidays, day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Guest check-in and check-out, ensuring a smooth and friendly experience.
• Be the first point of contact for guests, suppliers and external technicians.
• Respond to guests' questions and direct them to local sights and activities.
• Handle operational tasks such as invoicing and replying to emails and online requests.
• Collaborate with other departments and support guests and colleagues as needed.

YOUR TASKS

• You are a great host ensuring your guests enjoy a safe and memorable stay
• You are in charge of the well-being of our guests from check-in to check-out
• Besides for our guests, you’re also the first point of contact for all other visitors like suppliers and external technicians
• You respond to our guests' questions and inquiries and know how to direct them to major sights, local attractions and activities
• You handle the operational and administrative tasks like invoicing, answering to e-mails and online requests
• You enjoy a diverse, international work environment while we take care of an inclusive one
• You’re flexible and understand working on all days of the week, sometimes early / sometimes late, during weekends and on public holidays comes with the job
• You work in great in a team and are not afraid to jump in to support other departments every now and then

YOUR PROFILE

• You have at least 1 year of experience as receptionist
• You possess an outgoing personality and enjoy working in a bustling dynamic environment, performing a variety of tasks
• You are a people person, you like helping others and creating an unforgettable experience for our guests
• You are a team player, ready to help your colleagues and tackle challenges together
• You have good knowledge of a front office system (e.g. ASSD, Fidelio, SIHOT)
• You are fluent in French and English (solid B1-B2 level)
• You are available to work on the weekends, public holidays, day and night shifts
