Job summary

MEININGER Hotels in Salzburg City Center is seeking a full-time, guest-focused Host to welcome guests, handle check-ins and check-outs, and help maximize occupancy while delivering memorable experiences.

You will work in a diverse team, assist with inquiries, coordinate services, and support occasional F&B tasks. Fluent German and English are required; other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality is a plus.
• Strong customer-service mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in German and English required; extra languages are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• You act as a great host and create a memorable stay for our guests.
• You manage welcome and check-in/check-out processes to maximize occupancy.
• Respond to guests' inquiries and provide information on local attractions and services.
• Perform invoicing, hour registration, online reputation management, and quality checks.
• Assist with occasional tasks in F&B (breakfast, dinner, bar).
• Work in a team and adapt to weekdays, weekends, and day/evening/night shifts.

YOUR TASKS

• You act as a great host and create a memorable stay for our guests
• You are in charge of the welcome and goodbye process from A to Z, managing check-ins and check-outs to create best experience for our guests and optimize hotel occupancy
• You respond to our guests' personal and phone inquiries and provide advice regarding local attractions, activities and additional services
• You take care of operational and administrative tasks: invoicing, hour registration, online reputation management, quality checks etc.
• You work in a team and are ready to take on occasional tasks in the F&B area (breakfast, dinner, bar)
• You enjoy a diverse working environment and are flexible to work weekdays, weekends, day-, evening- and night shifts

YOUR PROFILE

• You have your first working experience in the hotel, or you are passionate about HORECA industries
• You possess an outgoing personality and enjoy working in a bustling dynamic environment, performing a variety of tasks
• You are a people person, you like helping others and creating an unforgettable experience for our guests
• You are a team player, ready to help your colleagues and tackle challenges together
• You speak German and English fluently (solid A2-B1 level min.), any other languages are an advantage
