Job summary

CitizenM Washington DC is seeking a night front‑of‑house ambassador who can blend hospitality with multitasking. You’ll greet guests, support self check‑in, prepare and serve breakfast, and keep the lounge welcoming throughout the night shift.

This role rewards initiative, warmth, and problem‑solving, with English fluency and US work authorization required. Expect hands‑on experiences across reception, barista duties, and guest recommendations in a vibrant hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Make guests feel warmly welcomed as they enter the hotel.
• Assist guests at self check-in kiosks; no reception desk.
• Provide kitchen support: cleaning, prep, and serving breakfast.
• Brew coffee or mix cocktails as needed.
• Act as a concierge with city tips and recommendations.
• Maintain the living room and clean canteen, arrange food displays for next shift.
• Assist guests with requests and facilities; handle PMS reservations.
• Oversee night operations and security; take care of guests in emergencies.

We won’t put you in a box as a ’receptionist’ or ’food and beverage’ person. With us, you’ll become a champion multitasker – customer service, receptionist, concierge, barista, mixologist, problem solver and more. You will be a citizenM night ambassador, free to be yourself to do the best job you can. We believe in making work fun. If you’re having a great experience, so will our guests.

We are looking for great personalities to join our Washington DC team!

• Making sure everyone gets a warm welcome as soon as they walk in;
• Helping guests at the self check-in kiosks (we have no reception desk);
• Being a kitchen hero - cleaning, preparing and serving hot and cold breakfast and meals;
• Brewing delicious coffee or mixing a signature cocktail;
• Being a secret concierge to the city, answering guests’ questions about the best places to visit, eat, shop or party;
• Maintaining the living room and cleaning canteenM, and arranging food displays for the following shift;
• Helping our guests with any requests or demands regarding our facilities (you may even get some new tech skills);
• Handling reservations in our property management system (PMS)
• Holding the keys to the castle; responsible for operations during the night shifts;
• Taking care of our guests including in emergency situations.
