Stonington Institute, a division of one of the nation’s largest and most respected hospital companies, Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), has an immediate opening for a part-time, temporary Receptionist/Data Entry Clerk.

Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adults in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180-bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients. We accept private insurance, state-funded plans, and self-pay arrangements.

Job Summary

Responsibilities are comprised of a mixture of clerical, administrative, and miscellaneous duties that support the Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement and Stonington Institute.

Job Duties
  1. Answer all incoming phone calls in a courteous, professional manner. Screen calls for clinical and administrative staff as required, with accurate message taking as necessary.
  2. Accurately transfer calls to appropriate departments as required.
  3. Receive and assure sign-in of all visitors. Screen visitors and contractors following SI Covid protocol.
  4. Receive all deliveries (including client deliveries) and route accordingly.
  5. Assist clients and visitors with various requests, i.e., directions, mail, etc.
  6. Photocopy and fax as required.
  7. Re-direct clients, as appropriate, during program hours.
  8. Clean and sanitize reception area during the course of the business day.
  9. Assist with PI projects, directed by PI Director.
  10. Data entry.
  11. May require travel to Groton location.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
