Grand River Health Care Center in Rifle, Colorado is seeking a friendly receptionist to support daily front desk operations on a PRN basis. You will welcome residents, patients, visitors, and staff, manage check-in/out, and help ensure accurate patient information and smooth clinic flow.

You will assist with calls and administrative tasks using MS Office, leveraging healthcare terminology knowledge and strong communication skills to deliver excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare clerical practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication with good grammar and math.

What You’ll Do

You’ll help keep the Care Center running smoothly by creating a welcoming first impression for residents, patients, visitors, and staff. This role supports daily front office operations while ensuring patients are checked in and out accurately and efficiently.

• Greet residents, patients, visitors, vendors, and other individuals, providing friendly and professional service.
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member, and assist visitors with their needs.
• Complete patient check-in and check-out procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Collect and verify patient information at check-in to ensure records are complete and accurate.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Care Center staff to help maintain efficient daily operations.

• Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is organized, personable, and customer-focused, with strong clerical skills and the ability to help create a positive experience for patients and visitors.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with at least two years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare clerical practices, and standard office equipment; familiarity with long-term care and electronic health records preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, document formatting, and basic math.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications, with the ability to learn and use office systems effectively.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a professional, detail-oriented approach to supporting patients, visitors, and staff.

Our total rewards package includes

• Pay Range: $17.50-$21.87/hour (based on experience)
• Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends, and other incentive pay available.
• PRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salary
