Job summary

Gensler in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients, vendors, and staff. Hours are 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with duties including greeting guests, directing calls, coordinating visits, and maintaining the lobby area.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, two years of administrative experience, and proficiency with MS Office. This position offers an hourly wage of $18.50–$20.50, based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative capacity.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational and technical skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone through Teams and direct callers appropriately or take messages.
  • Greet/welcome all guests and notify the appropriate staff member of their arrival.
  • Receive applicants for interviews.
  • Receive samples from vendors.
  • Direct deliveries to the mail room.
  • Process parking validations for clients/visitors.
  • Assist clients/consultants/vendors & staff with any questions.
  • Monitor the conference room reservation system throughout the day and notify appropriate staff of possible conflicts.
  • Assist with booking and canceling conference room reservations.
  • Ensure lobby and lobby-facing conference rooms remain tidy throughout the day.
  • Update Monthly Office Event Calendar.
  • Assist with administrative projects/tasks/special events, as needed.

Your Role

As a Receptionist (Part-time), you will be the first point of contact for our clients, vendors, and staff. The Receptionist represents Gensler's values and professionalism while demonstrating a high level of client service. The hours will be 10:00 am - 2:00 pm; M-F.

The hourly rate will be estimated between $18.50 - 20.50 per hour contingent on relevant experience.
