This part-time role runs Monday through Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and customer service skills, experience in healthcare settings, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation is seeking afriendly, professional, and dependable Receptionistto be the welcoming first point of contact for our residents, families, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
This is apart-time position working Monday through Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills, is comfortable answering phones and assisting visitors, and can remain calm and professional in a busy healthcare environment.
Experience inskilled nursing, rehabilitation, senior care, or a healthcare setting is preferred.
Greet residents, families, visitors, vendors, and other guests in afriendly and professional manner.
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls while providing excellent customer service.
Respond to questions and provide appropriate information or direct visitors to the correct department or staff member.
Operate the facility's paging or communication system as needed.
Assist with locating staff members and relaying messages throughout the facility.
Provide directions and general information to visitors, residents, families, and guests.
Maintain a welcoming, professional, and positive atmosphere at the reception area.
Assist with basic administrative tasks, including typing, filing, data entry, and preparing correspondence or reports.
Maintain accurate and confidential records as assigned.
Protect the privacy and confidentiality of resident and facility information.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, coworkers, and other members of the healthcare team.
Respond appropriately to urgent or emergency calls and notify the appropriate personnel.
Assist other departments with administrative needs as requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
Experience inskilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, long-term care, or another healthcare setting is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, friendly, and welcoming personality.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable answering multiple phone calls and handling competing priorities.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
