Job summary

Fowey Hall Hotel, part of the Luxury Family Hotel Group, is seeking a Reception Manager to lead our front-of-house team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This permanent role involves overseeing all guest interactions and reservations to ensure a high‑quality stay for families and individuals alike.

This 40-hour-per-week position offers a salary range of £33,500–£35,000 DOE plus service charge and benefits, with generous holiday and staff perks.

  • Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, to coordinate guest services.
  • Ensure all financial transactions related to FOH operations are accurate with full responsibility for the departmental budget, including payroll.

Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences? Fowey Hall Hotel, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Fowey, is seeking a Reception Manager to join the team.

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Reception Manager to join our lovely team where you will have full accountability for leading our dedicated Reception team and delivering impeccable family stays that are both magical and memorable. You will oversee all aspects of guest interactions and reservations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience as soon as our guests arrive!

Position Details

This a permanent full time position at 40 hours per week (including weekends), with an annual salary in the range of £33,500-£35,000 DOE - plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package.

Key Responsibilities

To Succeed In This Role We Are Looking For
  • Previous Reception experience is essential and ideally from within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Charisma, an engaging personality with a passion for hospitality and excellent service.
  • Ability to interact with all guests, and to have fun, engaging with our younger guests.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Competent level of IT proficiency
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
