Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler - Receiving in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time role supports customers by moving products from our warehouse to trucks and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.

The position offers a 1st shift, 6:00am–2:00pm, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits. Training is provided for forklift operation and scanning tasks, with opportunities for growth within the Sonepar network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanning device (training provided).
• Work in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material safely using equipment (training provided).
• Count, check and record items entering or leaving the warehouse.
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for delivery or storage.
• Help keep products free from damage and organized.
• Follow and promote warehouse safety procedures.
