Job summary

Wilkinson Supply Company is seeking a Receiving Specialist to unload deliveries, verify packing slips against orders, and record receipts into our inventory system. You will ensure stock accuracy and support warehouse efficiency.

Responsibilities include unloading with pallet jacks or forklifts, inspecting shipments for damage, labeling and staging items for put-away, and coordinating with drivers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a warehouse or a receiving environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory systems or scanning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and work in a fast-paced environment.

Receiving Specialist

Salary Range: $20.00 To $21.00 Hourly

Job Summary

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for unloading incoming deliveries, verifying packing slips against physical items, and ensuring accurate receipt into inventory systems. This role plays a key part in maintaining stock accuracy and warehouse efficiency.

Unload incoming shipments using pallet jacks or forklifts.

Check delivery contents against packing slips and purchase orders.

Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.

Enter receiving data into warehouse systems or handheld devices.

Label products that have been received and stage them for put-away or inspection.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving areas.

Communicate with truck drivers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely processing.

Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

Physical & Work Environment

Regularly lift, carry, and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Use pallet jacks and other warehouse tools safely.

Work in indoor/outdoor dock areas, sometimes exposed to cold temperatures.

Stand and walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces.
