Job summary

AZEK Exteriors at our Prairie Plant in Wilmington, OH seeks a forklift operator to support inbound/outbound shipments, inventory, and ERP data entry. Hours are Monday to Friday, 1:45 PM to 10:00 PM in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You will load/unload trucks, maintain records, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of material handling/ Forklift experience, and a current forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required (current or in past).
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift to unload inbound shipments of finished goods.
• Maintains paperwork for all loads.
• Verifies inbound shipments match packing lists and are damage-free.
• Maintains clean and orderly warehouse using 6S methods.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow safety and equipment handling procedures.
• Pull rail kit components for offsite shipping.
• Load trucks for outbound shipments.
• Receive and unload trucks of incoming rail kits.
• Maintain accurate inventory of incoming rail kits.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by supervision.

Job description

This position is at our Prairie Plant in Wilmington. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 1:45 PM to 10:00 PM.

Compensation & Bonuses

• Pay Rate: $21.50 an hour plus 10% shift differential.
• This position is eligible for a $3,000 Bonus!
• $1,500 at 3 Months!
• $1,500 at 6 Months!

Core Responsibilities

• Operates forklift to safely unload inbound shipments of finished goods
• Maintains paperwork for all loads
• Verifies that inbound shipments are damage-free and match packing list exactly
• Maintains clean and orderly conditions in warehouse and loading areas using workplace organization methods (i.e. 6S)
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow all safety and equipment handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Pull all rail kitting components to be shipped to offsite supplier
• Load trucks for outbound shipments of components
• Receive and unload the trucks of incoming rail kits from supplier
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of incoming rail kits
• Performs additional duties/tasks as assigned by supervision/management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience operating material handling equipment
• Forklift Certification – either current or in prior work experience
• Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
• Strong attention to detail, reading, comprehension and good communication skills
• Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Computer skills preferred, to include; basic input of information into ERP system on receiving and shipping process
• Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
