Position: Receiving Manager

We are currently seeking a Receiving Manager to join our Indianapolis Distribution Center team. This role oversees a team of hourly associates working a 1st shift schedule beginning at 8:30 am.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork.
  2. Ensure optimal use of warehouse space and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
  3. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on proper receiving procedures.
  4. Communicate with receiving clerks, HQ, and drivers regarding inbound deliveries and schedule changes.
  5. Research and resolve issues related to purchase orders and receiving documents.
  6. Complete all receiving documentation, freight claims, and correspondence with HQ promptly and accurately.
  7. Promote safe work practices and address safety concerns.
  8. Establish and communicate performance standards to associates.
  9. Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
  10. Conduct counseling, mentoring, and performance appraisals.
  11. Assist in selecting new team members.
  12. Participate in regular communication and meetings with DC leadership to coordinate activities.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and logistics.
  2. 3+ years of warehouse management, supervisory, or leadership experience.
  3. Experience with receiving/inbound and inventory management is strongly preferred.
  4. Understanding of OSHA regulations.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively.

Pay Range: $4,124.70 - $9,075.00 per month. This role is eligible for bonuses or incentives. Wages may vary based on location and regulations.
