Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate in Wooster, OH to efficiently load and unload shipments, prepare merchandise, set up displays, and ensure stock levels. You will follow SOPs for receiving and processing apparel, and maintain accurate merchandising.

You will use scan guns and computer systems, manage documentation, support inventory flow across stores and the distribution center, and collaborate with the receiving team to maintain safety and organization.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Proven track record of producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise purchase order processing by following SOPs.
• Utilize scan guns and computer-based software for accurate receipt documentation.
• Monitor and address shortages daily, communicating discrepancies.
• Maintain thorough records by daily filing of receiving paperwork.
• Contribute to efficient DC truck sorting and verify vendor price tags.
• Implement security tag placement and price labeling per SOP for apparel.
• Ensure supplies inventory including hangers, labels, and security tags.
• Handle store-to-store transfers, shipping and receiving with accurate records.
• Assist in inventory management of the sales floors during high-demand periods.
• Collaborate with the receiving team for regular receiving operations.
• Participate in company receiving protocols.
• Organize product onto carts for distribution.
• Transport sorted freight to sales floors and manage quantities.
• Assist management in accurate merchandise tracking.
• Facilitate smooth store-to-store and UPS transfers.
• Contribute to negative on-hand inventory research and review.
• Maintain cleanliness and create a safe work environment.
• Operate office equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and more.
• Cross-train for flexibility across departments.
• Engage in training programs, workshops, and webinars to learn and grow.
• Provide friendly, proactive internal and external support for inquiries.
