Job summary

Rural King in Town of Amherst, NY is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, and merchandise movement across the store. This role processes shipments, handles purchase orders with scan guns, and helps replenish stock on the sales floor while following safety and SOPs.

You will be part of a fast-paced team, using inventory systems and forklifts as needed, and you will help ensure pricing accuracy and proper tagging during merchandising procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory or related experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders and inventory control is preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns and inventory systems.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify discrepancies and maintain accurate receiving records.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with stock on the sales floor.
