Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, and merchandise movement across the store. You will receive shipments, process orders, verify inventory, and replenish stock on the sales floor.

The role requires basic experience with purchase orders and inventory systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures in a fast-paced environment. Forklift and equipment operation may be required during shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping/receiving
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
• Ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies, and meet productivity expectations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory
• Identify discrepancies and communicate PO, DC, and vendor issues
• Maintain receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags
• Unload, sort, and distribute freight across the store
• Replenish merchandise and assist with floor inventory during busy periods
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments
• Tag, label, rack, and manage stock levels per procedures
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and scanners
• Maintain clean, safe receiving area and support other departments
• Participate in cross-training and uphold Rural King values
