Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. This role will receive shipments, process purchase orders, verify inventory, and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify discrepancies in PO, DC, and vendor communications.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with floor inventory during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging and stock levels.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
