Job summary

Rural King in Marysville, OH is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping and receiving preferred.
• Comfort using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies, and meet productivity expectations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to company SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to accurately document receipts and inventory.
• Identify and communicate PO, DC, and vendor discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify merchandise pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with stock on the sales floor during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging, labeling, rack organization, and stock levels.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed.
