Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. The role involves receiving shipments, processing purchase orders, verifying inventory, and replenishing merchandise on the sales floor.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in receiving, warehouse, or related roles; comfortable with computers, scan guns, and inventory systems; and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies, and meet productivity expectations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to company SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to accurately document receipts and inventory.
• Identify and communicate purchase order, DC, and vendor discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify merchandise pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with sales floor inventory during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging, labeling, rack organization, and stock levels.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed.
