Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Receiving Supervisor to manage the receiving department operations at our Fairfax, VA location. You will oversee the receipt and disposition of merchandise, verify pricing and paperwork, and ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and control procedures.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and timely communication with logistics and store teams to meet departmental targets and maintain a safe, efficient receiving flow.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a big-box retail environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the operations of the receiving department, including matching received inventory against purchase orders and reviewing discrepancies.
• Supervises Receivers and/or Receiving Clerk; mentors team members in receiving/inventory control.
• Ensures safety and policy compliance in receiving, docking, and yard areas.
