Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Receiving to verify inbound shipments against packing slips and POs, ensure correct items and quantities enter inventory, and coordinate with purchasing and shipping to resolve discrepancies.

You will put away received goods, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold safety on the receiving dock. Starting pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, vacation, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior receiving, warehouse, or fulfillment experience preferred.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and Excel preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Inbound Receipt & Verification: unload inbound freight and inspect for damage, shortage, or error, verify against packing slip and PO before entering inventory.
• Put-Away & Inventory Integrity: place into correct bin locations so items are pickable the same shift.
• Discrepancy & OS&D Handling: document overages/shortages/damages and resolve with purchasing.
• Safety & Equipment: operate pallet jacks and maintain a clean, safe receiving dock.
