Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Receiving to verify inbound shipments against packing slips and POs, ensure accurate put‑away, and maintain inventory integrity. You will coordinate with purchasing, shipping, and the warehouse floor to prevent discrepancies and support timely order fulfillment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, warehouse experience, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in receiving/warehouse operations preferred.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and standard computer tools (Excel, email) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Pre-employment screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inbound receipt and verification: unload, inspect for damage or error, and confirm against packing slip and PO.
• Document discrepancies and OS&D; resolve before inventory entry.
• Put away received products accurately to correct bin locations.
• Maintain equipment safety and organization of dock and staging areas.
• Identify workflow improvements and support onboarding and cross‑training.
