Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Warehouse Associate – Receiving Department. You will verify inbound shipments, record transactions, and ensure accurate put-away to maintain inventory integrity.

Requirements include a high school diploma, warehouse experience or training, and forklift/pallet jack certification or plan to obtain within 30 days. You will work on a Monday–Friday daytime shift with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior receiving, warehouse, or fulfilment experience preferred.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and standard computer tools (Excel, email) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and stand for extended periods.
• Pre-employment screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound freight safely and inspect shipments for damage, shortage, or error.
• Verify received items against packing slip and purchase order before entering inventory.
• Record receiving transactions accurately in the warehouse management system.
• Coordinate with purchasing on receiving discrepancies to resolve them.
• Put received product away to the correct bin locations and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Keep receiving dock organized and safe; report hazards and follow safety standards.
