Job summary

Professional Contractor Supply is seeking a detail oriented Receiving Associate for our new Columbus, OH distribution center. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with starting pay $20.00–$23.33 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include accurate product receipt, paperwork, inventory control, and coordinating with Purchasing, AP, and Sales. OSHA 10 and forklift/reach/order picker certifications are required. Safety gear and training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in receiving, inbound, or inventory control.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs to load packages.
• Dependable with ability to follow multiple work instructions without supervision.
• Proficient computer skills and strong math/recording ability.
• Positive relationships with employees and customers; works independently.
• Ability to work some Saturdays for inventory; OSHA 10 required.
• Certified to operate forklift, reach, and order picker equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records and assist with inventory control.
• Receive all products accurately and process paperwork upon receipt.
• Inspect contents for damages and convey issues to Purchasing.
• Label deliveries and allocate to designated stock areas.
• Assist warehouse manager with tasks and ensure clean, safe receiving areas.
• Communicate with Sales, Purchasing and AP on discrepancies.
• Support loading/unloading on delivery trucks and safety compliance.

• Maintain accurate records and assists with inventory control.
• Accurately receives all products.
• Handle all necessary paperwork upon shipment receipt.
• Inspect all the contents for damages and volume.
• Manage and return incorrect shipments.
• Communicate with the Purchasing department and Accounts Payable when a mistake is identified.
• Communicate with the Sales team regarding key customers, receipt of next day items, damaged orders, or other related issues.
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
• Assist warehouse manager/supervisor personnel in performing tasks; sort and place merchandise in proper stock areas.
• Maintain the receiving areas in neat and orderly conditions; make sure that all equipment is kept in safe and efficient locations.
• Assist in loading and unloading merchandise on delivery trucks.
• Follow safety policies and procedures in reporting accidents in accordance with company policy.
• Keep managers/supervisors informed of shortages, overages, damaged merchandise, and inventory control.
• Assume responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co-workers, and for the safety conditions of the work locations. Exercise and promote safe behaviors and demonstrate unyielding support of programs, rules, and policies regarding safety.
• Operate machinery and equipment while adhering to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protections, steel-toed boots, safety hat, high visibility safety apparel, and glove-Cut level 3 (A3).
• Always remain courteous and service-minded while dealing with other employees and customers.
• Maintain a neat appearance in accordance to company dress code policy.
• Maintain punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members.
• Protect and maintain confidentiality of company trade secrets and other confidential or proprietary information including, without limitation, operations methods, customer information, and sales fata.
• Complete projects and assignments on time.
• Attend department meetings and trainings as requested.
• Complete other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or department management.

Qualifications

• Able to manage multiple, complex, on-going tasks and projects.
• Must obtain an OSHA 10.
