Job summary

Professional Contractor Supply in Columbus, OH is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate to support our new distribution center. The role offers a steady Monday–Friday schedule, competitive hourly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will participate in receiving and shipping, assist the warehouse team, maintain safe and orderly work areas, operate forklift and manlift, and uphold accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs to load packages.
  • Proficient with computer skills and standard office tools.
  • Dependable worker able to follow instructions without constant supervision.
  • Able to work independently and solve problems.
  • Capable of building positive working relationships with staff and customers.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks with strong time management.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in receiving and shipping of all merchandise.
  • Assist warehouse manager and staff in daily tasks and stock placement.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly shipping areas and equipment.
  • Assist in loading/unloading merchandise on delivery trucks.
  • Follow safety policies and report accidents per policy.
  • Communicate shortages, damages, and inventory issues to supervisors.
  • Promote workplace safety and proper procedures at all times.
  • Remain courteous and service-minded with employees and customers.
  • Maintain professional appearance per company policy.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as requested.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Salary: $18.50 - $21.58 per hour

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in the receiving and shipping of all merchandise
  • Assist warehouse manager/supervisor personnel in performing tasks, sort and place merchandise in proper stock areas
  • Maintain the shipping areas in neat and orderly conditions; make sure that all equipment is kept in safe and efficient locations
  • Assist in loading and unloading merchandise on delivery trucks
  • Follow safety policies and procedures in reporting accidents in accordance with company policy
  • Keep managers/supervisors informed of shortages, overloads, damages merchandise, and inventory control
  • Assumes the responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co-workers, and for the safety conditions of the work locations, exercise and promotes safe behaviors and showing unyielding support of programs, rules, and policies regarding safety
  • Follow proper procedures in reporting accidents in accordance with company policy
  • Always remain courteous and service-minded while dealing with other employees and customers
  • Maintain a neat appearance in accordance with company dress code policy
  • Maintains punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members
  • Protect and maintain confidentiality of company trade secrets and other confidential or proprietary information including without limitation, operations methods, customer information, and sales data
  • Complete projects and assignments on time
  • Attend department meetings and training as requested
  • Complete other related duties assigned by supervisor and/or department management
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs in order to load packages
  • Must be a dependable worker with the ability to carry out a series of work instructions without constant supervision
  • Must be proficient with computer skills
  • Be dependable and report to work on a timely manner
  • Ability to create a positive and produce working relationship with employees and customers
  • Work independently using effective problem solving skills
  • May be required to work some Saturdays for inventory
  • Operate a forklift and manlift
