Job summary

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York City is seeking a Receiving/Storeroom Clerk to manage receiving, storage and issuance of dry goods, food, beverages and equipment for the property.

Responsibilities include verifying quantities, prices and quality, and maintaining security and accuracy of stock for operations. The role requires English fluency and the ability to handle physical tasks in a luxury setting.

Job description

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel is currently recruiting for a Receiving/Storeroom Clerk. The Receiving / Storeroom Clerk is responsible for ensuring all Dry goods, Food items, Soft Beverage, Operations Supplies, and Equipment are received correspond to the quantities, prices and quality ordered. Responsible for the storage and issuance of all items. Physical control of above-mentioned goods until properly issued from the Stores to operation.

• Ability to perform mathematical operations with units of measure including, but not limited to dollars, cents, feet, inches, cups, pounds and ounces
• Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred
• Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 45 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding .

Qualifications

• Minimum education is high school equivalency, with some Hotel/College training preferred.
• Preferable experience in a similar capacity for a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
