Job Details
Job Location: Corporate Headquarters - Lancaster, PA 17601Job Shift: 1st ShiftA Receiver position is available for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working in a receiving department. This individual should be able to operate a sit-down forklift or the desire to learn.
Hours for the position: First shift – Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime will be required based on business need especially during September, October, and November.
Receiver Essential Duties for the Position
- Examines receiving documents and compares purchase order, packing slip or key records, according to the job specifications.
- Audits receiving documentation, Purchase Orders (PO) or Advance Shipping Notices (ASN) to ensure accuracy of receipt.
- Inspects the condition of the goods received to identify any damage or discrepancies.
- Works with internal departments to resolve any problems with receipts.
- Ability to accurately document in words and/or pictures any discrepancies.
- Assist in the performance of inventory management duties such as physical inventory, cycle counting and reconciliation.
- May unload goods from delivery trucks or containers as needed.
- Uses forklift equipment to locate product(s) and to assist with unloading.
- Assists with scheduling delivery appointments for incoming shipments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while under pressure and work in a team environment.
- Must have strong math skills.
- Effective communication skills in writing and verbal
- Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
- Must be detail oriented and accurate.
- Previous receiving experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift and carry/move up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience using WMS (Warehouse Management System) preferred but not required.
- Applicants must be willing to become certified using a sit-down forklift and the dock stacker. The desire to become certified on cherry picker and reach forklift is desired but not required.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
