Job summary

Jay Group in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Receiver to join the fast-paced receiving department on the first shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm). The role involves examining documents, verifying POs, packing slips, and ASNs, and using a sit-down forklift as needed.

You will help with inventory tasks, schedule incoming deliveries, and resolve discrepancies with internal teams. Previous receiving experience is preferred; willingness to obtain forklifts certification is required or encouraged, with potential

Qualifications

• Able to handle multiple tasks while under pressure and work in a team.
• Must have strong math skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
• Detail oriented and accurate.
• Previous receiving experience preferred.
• Must lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs.
• WMS experience preferred but not required.
• Willing to become certified on sit-down forklift and dock stacker; cherry picker/reach forklift desirable but not required.
• Punctual; able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine receiving documents and compare PO, packing slip, or key records.
• Audit receiving documentation, POs, or ASNs for receipt accuracy.
• Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve receipt issues.
• Document discrepancies in words and/or pictures.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as physical inventory and cycle counts.
• May unload goods from delivery trucks or containers.
• Use forklift equipment to locate products and assist unloading.
• Assist with scheduling delivery appointments for incoming shipments.
• Other duties as assigned.
