Job summary

A-dec is seeking a Receiver to offload and receive purchase orders into our ERP system, route and deliver inventory, and operate Power Industrial Trucks as needed. The role collaborates with multiple departments to ensure accuracy and ISO compliance.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, entering data into ERP, managing documentation, labeling items, and assisting with warehouse tasks. Safety and reliability are essential in this hands-on logistics position.

Qualifications

• 1 year of receiving related experience including PIT operation and/or ERP system experience.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Verify shipments against paperwork and enter data into ERP.
• Record discrepancies and communicate with Purchasing/Planning/Engineering/Trade teams.
• Perform receiving inspections and support QA as needed.
• Maintain documentation for traceability and ISO compliance.
• Build pallets and load onto trucks for processing returns.
• Label received products with part numbers, dates, and routing info.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed.
• Operate company vehicles if required.

They route and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing inventory. This position requires operation of various Power Industrial Truck (PIT) vehicles to route parts, and finished goods, working directly with various manufacturing departments.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing shipments as required, while performing all receiving functions in our ERP system for products from a variety of vendors and carriers.Verifies all shipments against corresponding paperwork, ensuring purchase orders match product received for quantity and information accuracy, and enters information into ERP.Records and communicates details regarding discrepancies to the Purchasing, Planning, Engineering and/or Trade and Transportation departments.Performs receiving inspection as needed, observing and practicing recognized quality-control techniques and procedures. Engages the Quality Assurance team when needed or required.Maintains accurate archiving of required documentation for tracking and record keeping purposes to assure compliance with procedure and ISO compliance.Builds pallets and loads palletized products onto trucks to process returns.Labels products received with appropriate information, which may include part number, revision letter, date of receipt, routing information, etc.Assists with other warehouse duties as required by business need.May be required to operate company vehicles.Observes and practices all safety regulations, maintains an acceptable dependability level, and must not pose a risk to self or others.QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrated training/mentoring ability along with a demonstrated behavior to self-start and work with minimal supervision.Able to learn in a fast-paced environment and to effectively identify part numbers and/or descriptions including identifying needs for improvement.Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions, including clear communication with peers and wide variety of upstream/downstream customers including all manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, trade & transportation and face to face vendor and carrier relationships.Must be PIT certified to operate various motorized material handling vehicles (lift trucks, stock pickers, pallet jacks, etc.), along with a demonstrated ability to use that and other tools/equipment necessary to perform essential functions.Able to read and understand blueprints.Able to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and some fractions.Education and ExperienceTypically requires a minimum of 1 year of receiving related experience including working knowledge of PIT operation and/or ERP System experience.DisclaimerThis job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
