Clayton Homes in Nashville, TN is seeking a Material Handler to support our manufacturing facility. You will handle, move, and stage building materials across departments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate receiving.

Material Handler is responsible for the handling and placement of materials needed within each department of the home building facility.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, and climb as required to retrieve, move, and stage materials. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with occasional lifting of heavier items utilizing team lifts or mechanical assistance. Ability to operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, manipulate, and inspect materials and equipment. Ability to maintain visual awareness sufficient to identify materials, read packing slips, inspect product quality, and safely operate equipment. Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work safely around moving machinery, vehicles, and material handling equipment. Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with material handling activities.
Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Regular exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels depending on season and facility conditions. Frequent exposure to dust, wood products, insulation materials, adhesives, and other construction-related materials. Exposure to moderate to high noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection when designated. Regular interaction with forklifts, carts, conveyors, and other powered industrial equipment. May be required to work indoors and outdoors while loading, unloading, receiving, and transporting materials. Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, high-visibility apparel, and other equipment as required. Must comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
