Job summary

Clayton Homes is recruiting for a Shipper/Receiver to support our manufacturing and supply operations in Morristown, TN. This role ensures safe, timely handling of items and accurate placement in assigned areas across the plant.

The position requires forklift experience, attention to quality, and accurate paperwork handling. You will work with a team to load/unload trucks and maintain efficient receiving and shipping processes.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all check-in and storage requirements as outlined in the receiving handbook.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Shipper/ Receiver position is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate handling of ordered items, as well as placing all incoming materials in their assigned areas throughout the plant

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in loading/unloading of trucks, inspecting materials for quality, and signing packing slips
• Follow all check-in and storage requirements as outlined in the receiving handbook
• Ability to properly notate paperwork for shipping purposes

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Excellent peripheral and close-range vision abilities required, including close-range and excellent peripheral vision
