Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a full-time sawmill team member to stack, wrap, and band lumber in an indoor environment with dust and noise. The role requires reading, basic math, and the ability to stand for extended periods while lifting up to 50 pounds.

You will coordinate with forklift operators and production management, follow safety policies, and assist with daily material handling and job orders, contributing to efficient operations on the floor.

SSENTIAL DUTIES AND DAILY TASKS

Part of sawmill team stacking, wrapping, and banding 2x4 lumber. Pulling tarps off raw material for daily use Assisting team in stacking lumber products Understands and observes all safety policies and procedures. Interprets job orders assigned. Coordinates with forklift operators, saw operators, and production management. Performs other duties as required by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

90% of work to be performed in an indoor environment subject to noise and dust. Ability to read, write, and do basic mathematics. Able to stand for extended periods of time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION

Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
