Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance in Plano, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a team of Collectors, the Senior Receivables Analyst, and Support staff. You will oversee daily operations and external vendors while driving recovery and profitability, with independence to guide strategic projects and performance improvements.

You will drive billing modernization, CollectOne integrations, and vendor collaboration to meet SLAs, while coaching staff, managing performance, and ensuring quality controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management, plus 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in collections, billing operations, or a related financial services function.
• A Paralegal Certificate is a plus.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication and project management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations: Establish priorities, coach to KPIs, resolve escalations, and coordinate with leaders and partners to meet SLAs and metrics.
• Manage and develop the team: Set objectives, conduct merit and salary reviews, provide coaching and feedback, and support growth.
• Drive financial performance: Lead the team to achieve recovery rate targets and support charge-off goals; increase net recoveries and reduce expenses.
• Lead change and continuous improvement: expand automation and agile problem solving, model responsible adoption of AI and emerging tech.
