Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks an Assistant Manager to lead the USRM Collections Team for Small Commercial, Personal Lines, and Large Claims deductions. You will guide Collectors, Senior Receivables Analyst, and staff, drive recovery, manage vendors like EXL, and report to the Collections Manager.

Travel for trials or mediations may be required. Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills are essential, with experience in stakeholder management and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent training.
• MBA or MS preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in financial operations, including 2 years supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations: set priorities, coach to KPIs, resolve escalations, coordinate with leaders and vendors to meet SLAs.
• Manage and develop the team: set objectives, conduct merit and salary reviews, provide coaching and feedback.
• Drive financial performance: achieve recovery targets, support charge-off goals, increase net recoveries.
• Advance strategic projects: lead billing modernization and CollectOne integrations for workflows.
• Ensure compliance, quality, and controls across financial transactions and service.
• Own customer and employee experience: monitor eNPS and engagement, drive improvements.
