Job summary

Vertex seeks a Manager of Commercial Rebate Operations to lead end-to-end contract administration and rebate processes in the US Market Access organization. The role combines data, process optimization, and advisory responsibilities, with a hands-on approach and cross-functional collaboration across many teams.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in pharmaceutical rebates, experience with Model N/Revitas, and strong Excel and analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technological discipline.
• 4-6 years US pharmaceutical industry-adjacent experience in contract operations, contract management, trade & distribution, rebate processing, and payments to commercial payers, GPOs, IDNs, Medicaid or U.S. Government.
• 2+ years’ hands-on experience with managed care, Medicaid, or U.S. Government contract administration technology (i.e. Model N, Validata, EDI, Helix).
• 2+ years’ experience in reviewing and interpreting Managed Care, Medicaid, or U.S. Government Master Agreements and Rebate Agreements.
• Proven ability to work in a complex, customer-focused environment with tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to build collaboration and drive problem-solving within and across teams.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end contract administration operations, including contract setup in Model N/Revitas, rebate eligibility, volume reconciliation, discount validation, dispute and customer payment administration.
• Establish and maintain SOPs to ensure consistency within payment packages.
• Support contracting strategy, development, negotiation, and execution processes.
• Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Technology Engineering to build dashboards and analytical models for rebates.
• Optimize analytics and data for rebate reporting and insights.
