Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking a Manager of Commercial Rebate Operations in the US Market Access group, with remote or hybrid/on-site options in Boston, MA (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).

You will lead end-to-end rebate operations, build analytics, and collaborate across departments to optimize contracts and payments while ensuring compliance and accuracy. The role requires 4–6 years in pharma-related contract operations, strong data analytics, and experience with systems like Model N/Revitas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technological discipline.
• 4-6 years US pharmaceutical industry-adjacent experience with increasing responsibilities in contract operations, contract management, trade & distribution, rebate processing, and payments to commercial payers, GPOs, IDNs, Medicaid or U.S. Government.
• 2+ years’ hands-on experience with managed care, Medicaid, or U.S. Government contract administration technology (i.e. Model N, Validata, EDI, Helix).
• 2+ years’ experience in reviewing and interpreting Managed Care, Medicaid, or U.S. Government Master Agreements and Rebate Agreements.
• Proven ability to work in a complex, customer-focused environment with tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to build collaboration and drive problem-solving within and across teams.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to prioritize and focus on activities that drive value.
• Excellent strategic thinker with analytical and solutions-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end contract administration operations including set-up, eligibility, and payment administration of rebates.
• Establish and maintain SOPs to ensure consistency in payment packages.
• Support contracting strategy design, development, negotiation, and execution.
• Collaborate with DTE to build dashboards and analytical models for rebates.
• Perform financial analytics to validate rebate calculations and reporting.
• Address customer disputes within contractual timeframes with clear communications.
• Maintain contract administration documentation for audit purposes.
• Stay current with federal regulations impacting rebates and chargebacks.
• Provide monthly/quarterly management reporting and support forecasting analyses.
