Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

This position will be managing rebar construction projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Hire is expected to live within the area.

What You’ll Do

Manage complex projects with detailing teams and multiple products and vendors from estimating to project completion. Cultivate a positive customer service environment while maximizing profits for Nucor Rebar Fabrication.

Your Responsibilities

1. Review contract documents/drawings and coordinate detailing efforts to ensure that we supply products and services in the safest, most cost-effective, and efficient manner.
2. Provide total contract management of each project assigned, including coordination of detailing, scheduling, delivery, and costs of products and services utilizing the company business system, industry standards, and other resources.
3. Oversee efforts to ensure Nucor rebar fabrication fulfills contractual obligations on the assigned project(s).
4. Coordinate project requirements with the contractor’s representative, engineer, and/or architect following Nucor’s contract management guidelines.
5. Schedule the detailing and delivery of required products and services with the contractor and detailing teams.
6. Review changes to the project to determine their scope, work with the estimating team for accuracy, and process the necessary documentation per change order procedures.
7. Assist in the change order process, culminating in customer acceptance.
8. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and customers.
9. Represent the company in project meetings as needed.
10. Work with the Detailing Manager to control the financial aspects of contracts, protecting the company's interests while maintaining good customer relationships.
11. Formulate reports on work progress, costs, and scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field OR three years of experience as a rebar detailer OR demonstrated construction project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to apply ACI codes and CRSI standards.
• Experience in customer relations and resolving problems or disputes.
• Basic knowledge of contract law, standard business practices, and human relations.

What You Need to Know

• Job site visits will be required.
• Protective equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats must be worn on-site.
• Work schedule may include hours beyond the normal business day.
