Basic Job Functions
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
This position involves managing rebar construction projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Hire is expected to live within the area.
What You’ll Do
- Manage complex projects with detailing teams and multiple products and vendors from estimating to project completion.
- Cultivate a positive customer service environment while maximizing profits for Nucor Rebar Fabrication.
Your Responsibilities
- Review contract documents/drawings and coordinate detailing efforts to ensure safe, cost-effective, and efficient supply of products and services.
- Provide total contract management of each project, including coordination of detailing, scheduling, delivery, and costs.
- Oversee efforts to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Coordinate project requirements with contractors, engineers, and architects.
- Schedule detailing and delivery of products and services.
- Review project changes, work with estimating, and process documentation per change order procedures.
- Assist in change order processes and customer acceptance.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms.
- Represent the company in project meetings.
- Work with Detailing Manager on financial aspects of contracts.
- Formulate reports on work progress, costs, and schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field OR 3 years of experience as a rebar detailer or in construction project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to apply ACI codes and CRSI standards.
- Experience in customer relations and problem resolution.
- Knowledge of contract law, business practices, and human relations.
- At least 3 years detailing rebar projects.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Critical thinking and use of applicable tools.
Additional Information
- Job site visits required.
- Mandatory use of protective equipment on-site.
- Work schedule may include beyond normal hours.
