The City of New York’s Department of Social Services seeks an Associate Benefits Opportunity Specialist II within HRA/CAS to supervise a team ensuring ADA compliance and federal, state, and municipal disability laws are followed.

You will coordinate operations, review reports, train staff, and move participants toward self-sufficiency while maintaining thorough documentation of disability issues and resolutions.

Qualifikationen

• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent with three years' full-time social/human services experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus eighteen months of full-time experience as Benefits Opportunity Specialist or as described.
• College credit substitution: 60 semester credits for 9 months of experience.

Aufgaben

• Oversee a team providing RA/HVN/HB services and coordinate case management actions.
• Plan and monitor unit activities; review outcome reports and participant feedback.
• Review employment eligibility decisions for disability accommodations; ensure compliance.
• Monitor unit progress and prepare regular reports on activities and outcomes.
• Train subordinates on policies, procedures, and tools for case actions.
• Conduct final packet reviews prior to fair hearing; represent the Agency as needed.
• May conduct field visits.
