Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled waste collection driver to operate commercial waste/recycling vehicles across assigned routes. You will load, compact, and transport waste, conducting pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintaining accurate route records.

You will communicate issues to supervisors and ensure safety compliance at all times. The role requires a valid Class 3 CDL, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is desired.
• Must possess a Class 3 CDL.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience.
• Must meet safety-sensitive function criteria per Company standards.
• Must safely operate the truck and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Commercial Waste / Recycling collection vehicle on the specified route.
• Load solid waste or recyclables into the vehicle.
• Operate equipment to compact product in the vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor or mechanic promptly.
• Maintain route quality and safety compliance.
• Keep vehicle clean inside and out.
• Tag prohibited items and manage waste items as needed.
• Coordinate with helpers and supervisor for routing efficiency.
