Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio is seeking a Rear Load Driver (Non-CDL) to service customers with trash and recycling collection on assigned routes. You will load, unload, and haul materials to disposal sites while maintaining safety and quality service standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of commercial driving experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read maps and communicate professionally with customers. The role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.
• Ability to drive while pulling a trailer.
• Must read and speak English well enough to understand safety training.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-600 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• Pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings as needed
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed
• Manually load bulk items as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck
• Operate other types of trucks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
