Job summary

The Superior Court of California, County of Orange is seeking an Official Court Reporter to record verbatim proceedings and prepare certified transcripts. The role requires CSR licensure, real-time transcription capability, and the ability to operate CaseView or similar software.

This on-site position emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and courtroom professionalism. Applicants must meet CSR requirements and provide two recent transcripts.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of full-time (or equivalent) experience as a Pro Tempore or Official Court Reporter with a Superior Court.
• One (1) year of full-time (or equivalent) experience as a Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR).
• Possession of a valid California CSR License and CSR exam passage.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's license or approved transportation.
• Attachment of two recent transcripts (9-15 pages each) within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Report and transcribe verbatim stenographic records of official court proceedings.
• Prepare and certify transcripts; read the record aloud in court as required.
• Provide realtime transcription and connect to CaseView or other litigation support software.
